An American Dynasty...the founding stallion of the Appaloosa Sport Horse Association ( ApSHA#F1 ), and registered American Warmblood... he has become the standard of the *new generation* of Appaloosa Sporthorses. Having laid the foundation by which others have been measured, this remarkable stallion has proven time and again that he truly is “...an improvement stallion for any breed mare.” - D. Clarke Wap Spotted, now a *Medallion* sire, was shown only two years on the demanding AHSA rated circuit, but received year end hi-point awards for both. His training was cut short by a breeding accident. His exemplary manners and tractable temperament were most notable when ridden in the company of hounds and other horses for the first time outside a show ring. Perhaps, influencing the decision of the hunt’s co-master to buy an Appaloosa shortly thereafter! His sire, a double-bred Wapiti, and his dam, a double-bred Prince Plaudit, both champions, have created this *nick* which has never been equaled. Having been shown so successfully at such prestigious events as Upperville, Wap Spotted’s real claim to fame lies in his progeny. Represented only once in a large Get Of Sire class at a rated AHSA show, he won, beating out WB, TB and the only other Appaloosa entry there! Through his winning get and recognition by the most influential of breeders and showmen, Wap Spotted has brought an entire line of sporthorses out of obscurity and into the world market. Many times outproducing himself, he has sired winning athletes out of $300 auction mares to ISR premium mares, including such notables as Wap’s Con Game and Dressage at Devon champions, NF Theodore and Wapsicle. After all, A stallion’s worth can only be measured by the quality of his get!
