FOR 2002/03 STALLION MAGAZINE ADVERTISEMENT STALLION ADS-They are upon us, deadline for payment and materials OCT 15... IRC would like to run several ads featuring IRC stallions in the up coming stallion issues of major US sporthorse magazines i.e.: The Chronicle of the Horse, Hunter and Sporthorse, Equine Trade Journal, USDF Magazine, etc. This campaign will depend largely on interest and participation of IRC stallion owners. Hopefully in the future fees generated by the IRC stallion auction will help minimize costs for ALL stallion owners, but this year those breeding monies generously donated by stallion owners will only benefit those who donated breedings.
Here
is what we have in mind for this year: We feel this could be a great avenue for advertising/exposure for IRC stallions at a reasonable fee. Again depending on your (the stallion owners) participation/interest will determine the extent of this campaign. We will need one GOOD quality photo of your stallion, that you have commercial rights too, this can either be emailed in a tiff format or high quality JPEG at 300DPI or mailed to Liz Hall and we will scan it. Please contact Liz Hall as soon as possible if you are interested in advertising your stallion through IRC. IRC will be running registry ads in several major US magazines that will simply list the names of all current IRC stallions if the fees are not paid by stallion owner and announcing that the stallion directory of IRC is available. AUCTION... IRC will be hosting our second annual stallion service auction. All monies from this auction will be used by IRC to promote IRC stallions in such campaigns as mentioned on this page and to improve our services/products such as the stallion directory & newsletters. We look forward to showcasing IRCs colorful and outstanding stallions. IRC will also give a FREE full page web stallion listing to any stallion who donates a breeding to IRC We are planning on starting the auction December 1st and running it to March 1st. Stallion owners can donate a full breeding fee including booking or just the breeding fee-booking not included. IRC will start bidding at 1/3 costs of the total fee, so if you donate a breeding that normally sells for 1500. including the booking fee the bidding will start at: $500. Any breedings not bid on by March first will still be offered until May 1st. After this date the auction will be closed and any breedings not sold by IRC will no longer be offered--this way any stallion owners who where generous enough to donate will not be hanging in limbo with an unsold breeding being offered by IRC. The stallion breeding auctions are a very important source of income for many registries and helps registries significantly in offering improved services to it's membership, we at IRC want to thank all of our stallion owners in advance for participating you are a major player in helping to build IRC and our services that we provide to you -- Thank you!
IRC will be mailing out stallion service donation forms by October
1st. Please let us know by November 15th if you will be
donating. STALLION DIRECTORY... 2003 IRC stallion directory will be mailed free of charge to all IRC membership and to any non member requesting one for a minimal charge for postage and handling. IRC will put together a booklet listing all current IRC stallions, their general information, pedigrees and other IRC registration information. We are requesting 500 - 8.5 x 11 flyers provided by the stallion owner to include in the booklet. The flyers can be a current advertisement, blk/w or a 4 color print out. Please provide IRC with your flyer by: 12/1/01 so our booklet can be ready to mail by Jan 1st of 2003. VIDEO & CD... International Registry of Colored Horses L.L.C - Is putting together a video to showcase the colored stallions of IRC. All members with stallions registered are eligible to participate. Stallion videos have been a huge success for other registry's and is a wonderful way to not only promote your stallion for a very reasonable fee, but to educate general public about these wonderful colored horses. Each
stallion will get a 4-5 minute clip on the video, ideally with 3.5 - 4
minutes for showing the stallion and the remainder for showing his
offspring. IRC will edit, produce, market and mail/distribute the video. Fees to include your stallion on the video, CD are as follows: $25.00
for video provided that is edited to specifications. Fees for buying the video (sales will not start until video is complete and ready for mailing-date planned for release is December 1st 2001) are as follows: Members
