International Registry of Colored Horses L.L.C
- IRC is a group effort of breeders of colored athletes--a
coalition, who have felt a need for a registry to benefit and serve
them. This is a registry created to solely benefit it’s members and
horses that are registered and to give breeders opportunities to
network, support, breed and sell these wonderful colored horses.
Focuses
of the registry will be timely documentation and registration of horses.
A quarterly news letter. Promotion of colored horses. performance/show
awards, and this web site to promote and showcase the horses and
members.
IRC
primary goal for the first few years will be to assure members of
quality and timely services. To create programs to assist members in their
specific needs of breeding quality horses with color. To listen
and adapt to our breeders/members needs and their input on how to continuously
improve not only the registry but our breeding goals. IRC is/will
be a democracy allowing member votes on issues, policies and board
members.
IRC
also wants to use our information to help further studies and education
in color genetics and help develop more genetic tests for our breeding
programs. IRC looks forward to
working with different universities, studies and scientists in our
efforts to achieve this. We also look forward to helping educate
the public on color genetics and the wonderful possibilities when
breeding colored horses.
The
people of IRC, both the staff and volunteers are breeders and horses
owners, so our goals are based in the reality of what we need to better
serve us and our horses. We look forward to bring in people who
share our love and dedication to horses of color.
